They stayed themselves and don´t care to criticize the government or politicians. The band was created in 1989 from Billie Joes Armstrong and Mike Dirnt who are still in the band. Later Tre Cool adjoined them.
Their latest album 21st Century Break is finished now and available. The songs tell a story about a young couple who try to find their way nowadays in the new century.

With their third album "X&Y" Coldplay could keep up with the huge success of the first two albums. After a little break they finally came back with "Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends" which was co-produced by Brian Eno.

This year, the 16. Edition of the Sonar festival is taking place in Barcelona. It's the largest and most famous festival for electro-music within Europe.
