Transportation from this area of Barcelona to other parts of the catalan city is quite simple using the Metro or busses. At the Ramblas, one can take Line 3 or the Green Line from the Liceu metro stop and on the other side at Via Laietana from the stop called Jaume I. It is also possible to take Line 4 or the Yellow Line to the beach with its nice Barceloneta beach apartments, though it is possible to walk to the beach from the Old City and along the Historic Harbor which is a pleasant walk of not more than 20 minutes. From Plaza Cataluyna which is also within walking distance, it is possible to take the train or bus to the airport, Costa Brava, and Costa Dorada.
