From the 29th of September and for a week La Barceloneta hosts its Fiesta Mayor. Like all the districts of Barcelona, this party is a major event for citizens. Basically it was a party in the honor of Sant Miquel the sant protecting the district but nowadays it turned to an art party. The localisation of La Barceloneta, near to the beach and close to the city center drives the fun to the beach of Sant Sebastia. Then the best part of the fest, concerts and dancing will take place on the Porto Olympico. Just by joining the crowd in the multiple bars (free entrance) or on the beach to have a few (or a lot if you follow spanish tradition) drinks while looking at the great view on the sea.
