Relax and the City - Ocata
If you are on holidays in Barcelona, you probably want to spend a day on the beach in order to relax, sun and enjoy the sea. Barceloneta seems to be the best possibility, but it is mostly very crowded as it is located directly in the city. But there are several beaches near Barcelona that are very clean and calm. One of these beaches is called Ocata. You can take the train to Blanes from Sants Estacio, Placa Catalunya or Arc de Triomf and it takes only 20 minutes. When leaving the train, you are actually on the beach and have only to walk a few metres. Certainly, you will find quickly the right place to put your towels and calm down. If you are in need of a cooling-down, you can take a bath in the very clean waves. Afterwards you can play volleyball, bocce or other games on the white sand. Some small beach bars offer refreshments and snacks. There you can enjoy the typical Spanish dishes while listening to music.
