Les Fonts de Montjuic

During holidays in Barcelona, it is a must to visit the Magic Fountains of Montjuic. They are located near Placa Espanya in front of the mountain of Montjuic. This unforgettable spectacle exists since 1929 when there was the Universal Exhibition "Exposición Internacional de Barcelona" but they were restored in 1992 for the Olympic games in Barcelona as they were in a bad condition. The engineer Carles Bugas had the idea to create this new type of fountains. The fountains are an incomparable mix of water, music and light. Since the Palau Nacional is illuminated in the evenings as well, it is a perfect and beautiful background when watching the fountains. If you are looking for Barcelona apartments or Barcelona hotels near the fountains, you can easily find the right choice for you on internet travel agencies. If you stay in the Ricart Plaza España - Designer Apartment for example, you are very close to the fountains. This apartment offers space for up to three persons. It has a modern design but is also very comfortable due to dark wood equipment. If you further want to explore the Montjuic Park, you can visit the Castle, the Olympic Museum and the Poble Espanyol. Further sights can easily be reached via metro.

Magic Fountains Times:
May - September: Thirsday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday from 21:00h to 23:30h
October - Beginning November: Friday, Saturday from 19:00h to 21:00h
November - December: Break
