Barcelona sightseeing: Magic Fountain on Montjuic
Built 1929 for the Universal Exhibition, the Magic Fountain on Montjuic Mountain in Barcelona continues to be one of the Barcelona sightseeing highlights visiting the Catalonian sunshine capital.
During the summer months, visitors can enjoy a spectacular scenary just a few walking minutes away from Plaza Espanya and close to the Museum of Catalan Arts (MNAC).
From Thursday to Sunday,the Font Magica (Magic Fountain) shows its arts from 8 pm to 11:30 pm.
Here is where colour, light and music meet! The compositions are amazing and especially on the weekends many tourists as well as locals are attracted to see the shows. Each music and water show takes about 15 minutes and after a short break the next water performance will start.
