chinese_contemporary_art.jpg The Joan Miro Foundation is one of the top- museums in Barcelona. Be there once is a kind of obligation. The current exhibition presented at the Foundation is "Red aside", with more than eighty paintings, sculptures, installations, photos and videos. These impressive art works are designed by 51 different contemporary Chinese artists. As all pieces on display are part of the collection of the Swiss diplomat and businessman Uli Sigg and reflect the Chinese state of art between 1986 and 2007, to visit the Joan Miró Foundation might be a great weekend activity. The bus line 50 from Plaza Universitat or Plaza Espanya will bring you to the venue which is situated on the beautiful Montjuic mountain area. You can even take the Funicular from the metro station Paral-lel to the Foundation. From Plaza Espanya hotels you can have a walk around around the huge Montjuic area and have a break at the Joan Miro Foundation to see behind the curtain of Contemporary Chinese Art. To explore the whole beauty of the Montjuic mountain you need more than one day. A comfortable and luxury hotel near the parc area of Montjuic is the Tryp Apolo Hotel.
